Abstract

This paper presents an introduction to women ´s movements and feminisms in the Arab world from a regional historical perspective. Exposes the major events and protagonists in the contexts of the different stages, the main trends and lines of thinking that developed the feminist rhetoric and practice as well as the discourses on women in the region are conducted.
